Manappuram Foundation extended its support to conduct business training programmes across 40 Grama Panchayats in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) on 24th March 2026, with a focus on the training and empowerment of women entrepreneurs. As part of the initiative, an inaugural session and training handbook release event were organized. The programme featured introductory remarks by Prof. Chitwan Lalji, followed by a welcome address by Prof. Ashok Thomas. Mr. George De Das, CEO of Manappuram Foundation, addressed the gathering, and the training handbook was officially released during the event. The session was further enriched by the presence and addresses of Mrs. Janaky P, Director, Entrepreneurship Development Society; Fr. Anto N. J, Vice Principal of St. Joseph’s College, Devagiri; and Ms. Vidya, Head of the Department of Economics, Providence Women’s College. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Gayathri M. S., marking the beginning of a structured initiative aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial skills and sustainable livelihood opportunities for women at the grassroots level.
