“Creating good for the community” was a dream of Sri. V.C. Padmanabhan, founder of Manappuram Group. Decades before CSR statutes were introduced in India, he started supporting the poor and needy through his ventures. Following in his footsteps, Sri. V.P. Nandakumar took the helm of the organization and spearheaded its growth into the diverse and burgeoning organization that it is today. Influenced by the dream of the founder, in 2009 Manappuram Foundation was formed with a vision to create an “Educated, Healthy and Happy Community” with various initiatives ensuring the highest levels of efficiency using suitable technology and people.In the field of education, we are running technology-driven schools, CA coaching centres and
entrance coaching centres to empower underprivileged students in higher education. Our skill development programmes ensure 100% placement. In the health sector, we have state of the art diagnostic centres, fully equipped gyms, yoga, counselling and psychotherapy centres to cater to the physical and mental health of society. To care for the elderly, we have Pakalveedu, a novel initiative for the elderly, engaging them with their peers, providing them with a home away from home. We offer professional and financial interventions in disasters and medical emergencies. We also encourage and participate in other projects which support community and environmental protection.Our partnership with globally reputed philanthropic organisations like Lions Clubs International helps us expand our reach from the local to the global stage.
