Palliative Day

As a part of palliative Day observation Manappuram Foundation supplied Diapers, vaporizers and cashew nuts to Fifty Palliative citizens in Valapad Grama Panchayath. Mr.George De Das CEO, Manappuram Foundation handed over the items to Mr.Ramesh, Health inspector Valapad CHC. Davis Master, District Panchayath President inaugurated the program in the presence of P M Ahammed, District welfare standing committee chairman, K C Prasad, President Thalikulam Block,Shinitha VD, President Valapad Grama Panchayath, Block panchayath member Mrs.Mallika Devan and Mr.Bijosh Anandhan.

On Worlds Disability Day, Mr.VP Nandakumar Managing Trustee Manappuram Foundation honoured Mr.Manikandan of  Valapad Grama Panchayath, Mr.Sankarankutty of cheruplassery Grama Panchayath and Mr. Shafeeq of Cherpu Grama Panchayath by donating four wheeler scooters for their livelihood.

Womens’s Day

As a day observation on International Women’s Day in collaboration with Valapad Grama Panchayath Manappuram Foundation organized a womens day program. The program consists of an empowering session and self-defense training on aiming to mainstream forty widows into social activities of community. organized by MAHIMA Counseling and psychotherapy centre, Yoga Dance by twenty kudumbasree members in the leadership of CDS chairperson Ms.Mallika Devan organized by MAyoga and cheque distribution to twenty people for their medical treatment.
In the event Mr.VP Nandhakumar, Managing Trustee, Manappuram Foundation honored women icons who achieved great success in sports and education. School Adoption
Covid-19 has made drastic changes in all the sections of the society, individuals, institutions and organizations alike. One such institution that was affected during the pandemic was Government Senior Secondary School, Valapad, Where the school was in need of repairs and essential commodities for their effective functioning. So MAFOUND decided to take a step into this situation by adopting the school and providing it with the necessary items for improving its infrastructure and for the smooth functioning. Manappuram Foundation adopted Government HSS, Valapad to improve the infrastructure and facilities of school for the students studying there. Donated Steel Almirah, Automatic sanitizer, Water purifier, Fire extinguisher, Ceiling fan, Exhaust fan, Electric bell, Projector screen, Note books, N95 masks, Lab Equipment’s, Speaker and attachments, Water tank, Podium and chairs.

Manappuram Lions joint projects
Lions Clubs International, is an international non-political service organization established originally in 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, by Melvin Jones. Now there are 46,000 local clubs and more than 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries around the world. Their mission is to improve the overall development of the community and to help the needy people through various humanitarian works. Manappuram and Lions Club International Jointly executed many social service projects. One major Manappuram Lions joint project is “Home For Homeless”. Under this project, donated 10 houses to the most eligible persons in Lions 318C districts which include Ernakulam, Idukki, Alappuzha and 24 houses to lions 318D districts which include Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram.
Under Lions 318D Districts, Manappuram Foundation Constructed Diabetic centre at Kombodinjamakkal, Thrissur and donated dialysis machine at MAJ hospital.
For the children who affected childhood cancer, Manappuram Foundation and Lions District 318A together donated Rs.24000/- for 29 children and 50 children benefitted by Manappuram and Lions District 318D project, for their cancer treatment expense.
During Covid 19 pandemic Manappuram and Lions Jointly distributed ventilators to various hospital across the Kerala.
